Bullying Prevention Classes for Grades K-2
Synopsis The land of Blatt is in an uproar. Ever since the first act of bullying occurred in Blatt Elementary School ten years ago, bullying has been on the rise…and now the school is in danger of closing. In a desperate attempt to save the school, the Empress has sent her two finest storytellers to the peaceful neighboring kingdom of Floam to tell the story of Blatt and to request help. In this enthralling and magical class, your students help storytellers Ajax Applesauce and Spartacus Stroganoff learn how to stay safe while standing up to a bull, and how to help when they see others being bullied.

- To help students see how assertiveness and passivity are communicated through body language and tone-of-voice

Bullying Prevention Classes for Grades 3-6
Synopsis Recent research shows that, by the time they finish school, 90% of all students will have been the target of bullying. In this informative and highly interactive class, students watch an enthralling scene, participate in activities and discussions, and role play the “assertive steps”. Through these activities, students examine the way that body language affects a bully’s choice of target and come to understand the relationship between bullies, targets, and bystanders.

- To demonstrate the dangerous relationship between bullies and their targets
- To demonstrate the role that body language plays in the way a bully chooses her/his target
- To teach students to “Say what they see, say how they feel, say what they want, and walk away,” when in safe environments
- To give students an opportunity to practice the assertive steps and assertive body language
- To discuss what bystanders can do to stop an incident of bullying
