3-6:
Synopsis
It's picture day, and Devonte is extremely nervous. He never takes a good school picture and it doesn't look like this year will be any different: At lunch he spills pudding all over his shirt, and all Courtney does is laugh! It isn't that she's trying to be mean; she just isn't using her empathy. In this engaging class, students will examine why people don't always use empathy, consider what Courtney could have done instead, and act out other situations at their school that might require empathy.
