Synopsis
Cheese has always wanted to join the circus, and now that Macaroni, the Ringmaster, is holding auditions, he has his big chance. Cheese passes Macaroni’s first two tests of Daring and Cunning easily…but when the third test requires him to do something he knows could hurt him, he isn’t sure what to do. With the help of his friends, played by your students, Cheese learns that “saying NO is O.K.” and his courage wins him the place in the circus he’s always wanted.

To share steps students can use to say “no” to activities that could hurt them
To provide students with an opportunity to practice using these steps

Synopsis
Is peer pressure really pressure from peers, or is it pressure we put on ourselves to fit in? Scenes, activities and role-play help students learn about the kinds of peer pressure they are unlikely to experience. Students also learn about the nature of indirect peer pressure, and how they can handle this more common form of pressure. In this class, students also gain an awareness of the kinds of risks they are willing to take.

- To remind students of the consequences of using illegal drugs
- To provide students with tools they can use when faced with a pressure situation
- To provide students with an opportunity to practice responding to pressure situations
